With over three decades of profound spiritual exploration, Bénédicte Verley (also known as Deva Anugraha or Anu) seamlessly integrates the wisdom of her inner journey with the artistry of her highly successful 30-year photography career. Holding an undergraduate degree in fine arts and religious studies, as well as a master’s degree in photography, Anu’s artistic vision and technical mastery have made her one of the top 10 photographers in her field. Her work has graced the pages of renowned publications, earning her a distinguished reputation. Yet, at the height of her success, she found herself at a crossroads, seeking a deeper, more meaningful way to live, work, and be in the world.
In 1987, a transformative encounter with her spiritual teacher set her on a path of profound self-discovery, leading to annual pilgrimages to an ashram in India. Immersed in deep retreats and rigorous self-inquiry, she underwent a radical inner metamorphosis. In 1999, Anu experienced what she calls the ultimate dissolution, a profound awakening that stripped away all illusion and revealed the radiant essence of existence. Love and gratitude became the fabric of reality, ushering in boundless joy beyond logic or reason. From this awakening, Satsang naturally emerged, with the wisdom of the source flowing effortlessly through her.
Returning to her photography business, Anu infused it with newfound clarity and presence. What once felt like an exhausting pursuit transformed into a thriving, effortless endeavor, enriched by a deep spiritual foundation. Creativity flowed, solutions emerged organically, and her business flourished without struggle. Simultaneously, her spiritual work expanded, leading her to guide retreats across Europe and Asia. Eventually, she chose to dedicate herself fully to this sacred calling.
For over two decades, Anu has shared this profound gift with seekers worldwide, leading silent retreats and workshops across India, Europe, and the United States. Rooted in the integration of deep awareness into ordinary life chopping wood, carrying water. her practice invites others into the direct experience of truth. Anu is an accredited SIAF holistic counselor approved by the CRKBO.
Now based in France, Anu continues to guide individuals on the path of self-discovery, offering one-on-one mentorship and transformative retreats in her lush garden sanctuary and around the globe.
